Duck hunters fined for off season shooting near Lake Mathews
Two youths Charles A. Rose of Artesia and Robert E. Vantwerp of Bellflower were fined 25 dollars each for shooting migratory waterfowl out of season with a .22 rifle near the spillway at the west end of Lake Mathews. Justice of the Peace Alexander M. Rowell presided, with the complaint filed by Nick Martin of Whittier.

Trucks and Cars Collide on West Sixth Street
Three cars and a truck were in a collision on West Sixth Street yesterday afternoon. No injuries were reported and all vehicles except the truck were driven away. The truck, driven by Robert Bothwell of Riverside, failed to stop for a flagman and was towed from the scene. none of the drivers were local residents.

Marine Captain Joe Dulcich Dies in Navy Hospital
Joe Dulcich a Corona Marine Captain died in the Naval Hospital in San Diego after seven years from a Guam bullet that left him paralyzed from the waist down. He had a history of bravery and optimism and will be buried in New Orleans with his wife Ruth by his side.
