Felipe Munoz of 201 Howard Street appeared before Justice Wilk Stahl denying ownership of a hot still used to distill prune juice into liquor and denying possession of intoxicating liquor. He pled not guilty to two counts and waived a jury trial. arraignment set for December 26 with bonds fixed at 2500, Munoz jailed after arrest from a raid that yielded two stills and bottles of liquor.
The American Legion and auxiliary expect about 125 members and guests at the Memorial home to celebrate the Christmas season. A pot luck supper is planned with a good luck theme, featuring a Santa Claus arrival and a program around a decorated Christmas tree. L. W. Armstrong chairs the planning group and final arrangements are underway.
Sacramento reports 2 339 ex convicts on parole outside California prisons with 1840 from San Quentin and 499 from Folsom. Including 7151 inside prisons and road camps the total under commitment reaches 9490. Parole violations were seven last month and eleven former violators returned to prison.

Beaumont reports the county chamber endorsed plans for an eighty acre county park near Beaumont to host a cherry blossom festival. Guy Bogart and Riverside and Los Angeles chambers praised the proposal, with irrigation district offers tied to park development and a possible 100 acre site in Livedale Canyon.

Mrs iimmett Boylan and her brother George Ree arrived from Woodlake Minnesota for a rare Christmas reunion in Corona. Ree had not seen sister Mrs b S Lindeman in eighteen years, visiting Corona with Charles Hoe of the police force during a Minnesota trip. Ree was joined by friend John Frank as the pair tour the southland and enjoy their stay.
Funeral services were held at ten o'clock this morning at St Edward's Catholic church for Lorenzi of Rincon Street. Rev Tero Montana conducted the service, which drew many friends from the community. The body was laid to rest in Sunnystope Cemetery.
Candelario Solorio charged by his wife with battery pleaded guilty before Judge H. K. Stanl. He was fined $100 or fifty days in the San Jacinto mountains prison camp. The couple live on lower Howard Street and the wife alleged cave-man like treatment. Constable Liebig had Solorio arrested.
