California Fruit Growers Exchange officials in Los Angeles say Florida orange losses from a recent freeze will not solve California’s citrus surplus. Forecasts estimate Florida grapefruit losses 15 to 20 percent oranges 25 to 35 percent and tangerines 65 to 75 percent with wide regional variation and some areas sustaining near zero damage.
