A fire of undetermined origin leveled a five room house at Third and Belle streets at 2:30 this morning. The Delcamp family, away from city, lost furniture. loss near 1500 dollars insured. Firelighted the north city area as firefighters saved adjacent buildings. This is the first incident in three months.
Robert Johnson was found guilty by a twelve person jury in Judge H. K. Stahl's court after pleading his own case. The charge was transportation of intoxicating liquor. Sentencing set for Thursday at ten. Deputy Bailey and Deputy Graham testified for the state. Johnson called one witness, Manford McClain.
A former players group calling themselves the Corona Question Marks beat Corona High 14 to 13 in a gym practice. The squad includes Art Reed Art Rubidoux Hughes Nutter Meyers and Carroll.

Mrs. Gregoris Vasquibel aged twenty eight died at her home at 405 Merrill Street on Sunday afternoon after a brief illness. Survived by her husband and many friends among the Spanish speaking community, the funeral is at St Edwards Church at 2 50 this afternoon with burial in Sunnyslope Cemetery.
Congress approved the Elliott bill to fund federal buildings, including a Corona post office. The measure authorizes about 363 million dollars for post offices nationwide with DC and city allocations, to be administered by the Post Office and Treasury Departments.
