Washington The C I Q O to day called a strike in six cities among union employees of the Postal Telegraph company seeking a 20 per cent wage increase. Officials said the strike was ordered in Washington Buffalo Philadelphia Detroit New York and Pittsburgh. If no negotiations resume immediately six more cities would be struck tomorrow.

Police report shows several checks and 40 pennies from a $100 theft at Warner Cropper's Ford headquarters were recovered Tuesday in a water drain on Chase Drive.
In Phoenix a federal jury found Ronald Jones 36 guilty of second degree murder in the death of John Lee Stokes a Mojave medicine man. Mojave witnesses including the elderly Lou Beck testified the slaying followed belief Stokes bewitched Jones family.
The U S Maritime Commission requested bids to build 12 steel cargo ships at a total cost between 18 and 23 million dollars. The program is described as the largest peacetime order for merchant cargo tonnage in the country. Vessels designed for 15 4 4 knot speed and adaptable for wartime use.

She came to Corona with her family a year ago and is survived by husband a son Raymond Charles Rife a daughter Mrs W E Gates and step children Cecil Rife and Mrs Elsie Carmagnolli of Los Angeles.
Funeral services for Cariton Pray will be held Friday at 2 PM at the Hoover Bell chapel with Rev. Daniel Hogan of the First Congregational church officiating. Interment is at Montecito Memorial Park in San Bernardino. Pray ended his life Saturday morning.
