City officials have not resumed negotiations with the school board over using space in the old Lincoln school building. City Manager Mount says no plans exist for city use, and council discussions have not included the Lincoln issue since the joint-use offer was withdrawn.
The Rotary Club adjourned to the Senior High School to see a colored film of the Helsinki Olympic Games. Payton Jordan sponsored the educational feature. The program included noted athletes, memory expert David M. Roth, and introductions of Rotary guests. Don Stark presided. Lyle Swaney was away.
The Crimson and Gold choir directed by J. Lorin Farmer will perform in Corona’s annual Christmas program at Corona High School auditorium on Wednesday Dec 17 at 7 30 p m The photo lists many students across four rows with Mr Farmer at center and LaVonrie La Roche at the piano.

Minnie Swanner 76 longtime Corona resident died Saturday at Arlington sanitarium after three years of illness. Born December 23 1875 in Texas she moved from Kansas and lived with her daughter Jessica Beck and son in law Joseph Beck at 1520 South Main. Funeral services Tuesday at 2 p m Bell-Thomas Mortuary chapel with Rev Stanley Graf officiating. Interment Sunnyslope Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel.
At Pongam Island in Korea UN guards opened fire as 82 civilian internees were killed and 120 wounded when prisoners formed, advancing into machine gun fire. The clash prompted calls for a stiff inquiry and questioned leadership decisions by Maj. Gen. Herren amid claims many internees were guerrillas in civilian clothes.
Boston city assessor Philip J. Camerlengo was hospitalized after a sneeze triggered a recurrence of a previously broken rib from a fall. He remains under medical observation with no further complications reported.

Corona city fireman Leonard Kennedy Cox Jr. was accused of drunk driving by Riverside police after a car rollover on a sharp curve in the 4300 block of Van Buren Avenue Arlington Saturday night. He was jailed, later released, with no injuries and he denies intoxication. The vehicle left the road struck a fence tore down a telephone cable guy wire and overturned.
Film star Lana Turner receives a quickie divorce from millionaire Bob Topping in Carson City Nevada citing mental cruelty. It marks the third divorce for both Turner and Topping.

Volunteers will trim trees at Long Beach Veterans Hospital and host a party for 50 paraplegic patients. Donations of warm clothing for children are requested. Rehabilitation month notes include 10 cents from dues aiding national rehab, with $25,000 yearly to the Legion. Andres Garcia aged 26 of 124144 Ho ward street was jailed on a hit and run driving charge after a non injury collision at Sixth and Main. Reserve Officer Logan pursued in his car. Garcia’s vehicle collided with Edwin Carl Dittman of Los Angeles.
