R J McClure of 724 Ramona street was slightly injured yesterday after 5 PM when the Corona relief car hit him at Seventh and Main. Chief R H Garner drove the auto and McClure suffered a cut over the eye from a milk bottle he held. He was treated at the emergency hospital by Dr John C Redell and is recovering at home.
The full count of ballots cast on November 3 shows President Roosevelt re elected over Governor Alf Landon by 67,043,433 votes. Kane Don received 17,907,004 votes, roughly matching Hoover's 1952 tally but losing to Roosevelt by about 4 million more votes.

In Beaver Pennsylvania the 15 room house of the Behnaman sisters hosts thirty clocks some 200 years old. Wilhelmina Marie and Clara B Taylor inherited the timepieces from Wilhelm Behnaman who collected them after arriving in 1870. The oldest Italian clock dates about 150 years ago and the newest is a 25 year old parlor clock. The sisters wind most of the collection.
In St. Cloud Wisconsin a prehistoric mammal tooth weighing nearly two pounds was discovered by the Sheboygan River. The tooth measures 41 inches long 544 inches wide and 2 inches thick with numerous side ridges and is estimated at about 25 000 years old.
Corona police aided in the capture of robbery and murder suspects tied to a crime wave in the region. A pair from Santa Ana were named as armed-robbery suspects linked to a spree across Southern California. The arrest involved multiple agencies including Riverside and Los Angeles officers, with swift coordination via telephoning and a rapid deployment by Sheriff Rayburn’s team. The two-hour operation spanned late night to early morning, ending with arrests and ongoing investigations.
The Corona business sector is stalled by a national strike. Local grocers report scarce commodities and higher freight costs. Two crops of apples were harvested from an apple tree on a Gandview ranch owned by Coo fry. The first crop came in late July, the tree bloomed again, and a second crop followed. The second yield was smaller but apples were of good color.
