First Freeze Hits Corona Area Temperatures Drop

Temperatures fell to freezing last night in Corona with a low of 30 degrees at the Corona Fire Station and 29 degrees at Corona Foothill Lemon Co. No stoves were lit in groves. Water bond vote seen Council may act Monday

The City Council weighs two multi million dollar bond options to purchase Corona City Water and Temescal Water companies. Rancher admits burglary in Rancho Santa Fe case

San Diego UPI reports Howard C. Swindell a 51 year old Hemet rancher pleaded guilty to burglary charges during an unscheduled court visit. He faced sentencing January 6 on the alleged Honeysuckle Cottage theft at the Rancho Santa Fe Inn last August 5. Authorities note the loot included jewelry valued at about 7 680 dollars from Dorothy Royce of Pasadena on September 11 with other burglary charges pending from July 3 1962.
