Norco City Council approved a temporary waiver of fees and bonds for Bluff Development Co to record the final tract map for 126 lots plus 297 lots owned by the Hawaiian Syndicate. The move aims to avoid a map expiration and finish Corydon Avenue linking Fifth Street and Norco Drive despite a state Attorney General environmental lawsuit challenging prior septic work.
The California Supreme Court ruled the death penalty unconstitutional for lack of adequate guidelines as required by the U S Supreme Court. UNANIMOUS decision wipes out death sentences for 65 men and 2 women on Death Row unless appealed. Noon temp 73, overnight 38. yesterday high 77.
