Long Beach physician Dr Blake Allison formerly of Corona married Miss Eth Morse Monday morning in the First M E Church ceremony conducted by Rev Georg A Warmer. A wedding breakfast at the Mission Inn Riverside follows for relatives and close friends before a honeymoon trip to Boulder Dam and Death Valley.
Washington teachers with their principal Miss Gladye Kimbell hosted a baby shower at the Tullis home for Mrs. John Tullis, Jr. John Lee III, the new son of a group member, received a Santa Claus gift bag brimming with jewelry. Delighted guests enjoyed refreshments and games prepared by Miss Kimbell and her helpers.
Mrs. Jos Sikes cousin of Mr and Mrs Carence McCarty enjoys a few days at the McCarty ranch northwest of Corona. The McCartys, back from a month long eastern auto tour, met Mrs Sikes near Grayslake and continued home. She notes picking oranges off a tree and plans another California visit. Leaing bor Aly and Mrs McCarty show her Southern California sights to temper the coming snow.
Dinner Tuesday honors Millers with Adlon Sidpoa of Note and Mrs Walter Bounds as co-hosts. Guests included various attendees from the church and local society, who circulated and conversed during the event, sharing refreshments and fellowship.
Ruth Glaass oi Tuned Miss Ruth Glass was honored with a luncheon hosted by Mrs. Gertrude Hall at the Ontario Hotel. Fifteen guests, white snapdragons and ferns decor, and a reveal of gifts including linen and Franciscian pottery marked the event.
The Norco Woman's Progressive Club schedules a Christmas bazaar in Norco Community Hall next Tuesday at 6 PM with handmade articles for sale a hot supper and music followed by a picture show. Proceeds go to the club building fund and visitors are welcome.
Phyllis Joyce Farmer marked her first birthday with a party on December 5 at the attic or rer raters hosted by Mrs. Paul Farmer. Attendees included grandmothers and numerous relatives, with gifts, cake, and a post-party gathering.
The Woman's Improvement Club Music Section held a well attended meeting at Mrs. Robert Keller's East Kendall street home. Mrs. J B Harker outlined the Sunset Music Hour plans for January 15 and ongoing monthly Sundays with performances by Winifred Sutter and Prentiss Jo Riddie. Mrs. N C Kelley discussed current world music events including the American Ballet Caravan with Lincoln Kirstein and the Lincoln Symphony. Members reviewed chapters from Music on the Air and later shared a refined tea hosted by Mrs Keller and Mrs Joseph with pours by Mrs Holton and Mrs Stanley.

The W H Jameson Jr Post 216 Junior Auxiliary met at adviser Mrs Bertha Bolin home. Norma Carwil presided as president. They plan caroling in Corona and Christmas singing at a Riverside children's home. They will adopt a Gold Star mother and make favors for a veterans hospital. Subscriptions money was turned into the treasury.
Carlos Ford returned after a week of illness. A marriage license was issued to Jaks Fair and Lena Richards of Corona. Mrs. T. J. Lawson is recovering from a fall last Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. A. Anderson hosted Mr. and Mrs. John Poasa and children from Anaheim. Mrs. Ros Parsons and Rosa May Groves of Los Angeles visited. Mrs. George McNutt of Los Angeles visits daughter Mrs. A. M. Root. Fred H. Jones of Los Angeles speaks at the Pythian Association meeting with a dinner beforehand. Joseph Lwery, now with Prado Dam contractors, previously finished months with the Metropolitan Water District at the San Jacinto tunnel.
Social visits mark a busy period at S.C.J.C. with Elder and Mrs. Maxwell hosting guests from Mountain View and Los Angeles. A gasoline stove caused a Friday fire destroying the Brown home despite aid from county and school fire crews. Faculty and student events include a sacred and secular music program and a Douglas Aircraft tour in Santa Monica. Elder E B Rudge and Elder A S Maxwell addressed students, with Maxwell touring Geneva and the League of Nations in Switzerland.
