With fair attendance and Mrs. Howard Glass presiding the Garden section of the Woman's Improvement Club met Thursday morning at the club house on Elev enth and Main streets. Miss Agnes MacKenzie read the opening garden poem and Mrs. R. L. Willits spoke on bulbs, sharing her growing expertise.
The West section of the Women’s Council held its annual Christmas party at Mrs. Howard Glass’s South Main Street home. Thirty eight members attended a pot luck luncheon and gift exchange after a brief business meeting with Christmas greens and red and green decor.
Charming dinner hosted Friday by Mr and Mrs Fred Bo Snidecor at South Main Street brought together many out of town friends and Coronans. Prizes were won by Mr and Mrs Alec Barnes. Guests included Mr and Mrs Henry Jaame, Coruna, Mr and Mrs Crewe Fenlen, Newport Beach, Mr and Mrs John Mclonald, Huntington Beach, Jon Sanford, Ontarte.
The Woman's Relief Corps will meet next Monday at 2 30 PM at the Odd Fellows hall. Election of officers is on the agenda along with other business. a full attendance is hoped for at this important gathering.
Mrs. Ethel Lord and her sister Miss Frankum hosted the Clover Leaf club gathering last night at Mrs. Lords home, providing a pleasant social event for members.

The annual meeting of the Auxiliary and Missionary societies of the Congregational church elected new officers Mrs L L Andrews as Auxiliary president and Mrs T A Fraser as missionary society president. A $100 gift from the auxiliary will fund parsonage repairs before Dr FE A Drake begins services December 14.
The Baptist church missionary society held a Friday afternoon session in the church parlors with President Mrs Walter Clinton presiding. Devotionals were led by Mrs T J Kenworthy and a prayer by Rev F K White followed by an engaging talk on Cuba. The next meeting is set for January 2.
A Roy al Neighbors lodge regular meeting at 10.0 hall with Oracle Mrs Byrum presiding elected officers for the new year. Plans were made for a joint installation with Modern Woodmen in January, date to be announced.
Christmas fundraiser being held on Saturday December 6 at the corner of Toh and Main features fancy work aprons candy and cooked foods with proceeds supporting church and community efforts.

Federal Prohibition Agent Paul L. Mathias lauded Riverside county for strict liquor law enforcement during a visit with Sheriff Sweeters and Police Inspector Paul Scott. He praised the sheriff and police for their cooperation and effectiveness in curbing liquor traffic in the district.
First Methodist Church offers men only class and three mixed classes with wives or young women. The 10:45 Sunday service features W H S M annual thank offering with Mrs W C Merwin of Covina. Evening sermon on Blessed are the Meek and choir led music. Epworth League at 6:30 and prayer service at 6:15.

The day features a 9 45 a m Bible school campaign a turkey banquet and a morning sermon titled Traditions of the Elders with special music and fellowship.
