Thermac founder Ivan W. McKinley dies at 68
Ivan Edwin W. McKinley, 68, Corona businessman and founder of Thermac Co. in 1931, died at his Riverside home. Funeral services set for 10 a.m. Friday at Acheson & Graham Mortuary, with entombment at Olivewood Mausoleum. McKinley helped build Thermac from a Los Angeles garage to a nationwide firm with 23 plants. Survivors include wife Mathea, six children, and extended family. He served with Montrose and Riverside Sheriff's Posse groups and belonged to the Elks.

The governor declared an extreme state of emergency as the worst outbreak hit southwestern Idaho with over 150 fires burning out of control across parched deserts and federal lands managed by Forest Service and the Bureau of Land Management.

Pickup Driver Dies After Loss of Vehicle Control
Frank Ahumada of 210 Violet was killed yesterday when his pickup swerved on Chase Drive, rolled over and pinned him. Witnesses say he reached to close a door as the truck veered, the left bank flipping the vehicle. He died at Corona Hospital at 5 12 p m. funeral arrangements are pending.
