Corona Chamber of Commerce announces reciprocal privileges with the Los Angeles Chamber. Members in good standing who have paid 1917 dues receive a card allowing use of Room E in LA Chamber for phones free check room and access to papers and directories. Cards issued by Corona secretary with name in good standing.

At a Arlington Poultrymen’s Association meeting, President C. B. Brown warned that with feed costs up 90 percent year over year and another 10 percent since, plus egg prices up 30 to 35 percent, poultrymen may not break even unless egg prices rise. The annual report by county horticultural commissioner Sharp shows bean acreage in Riverside County up sevenfold to 18 871 acres this year from 2 799 last year. Irish potatoes quadrupled to 1782 acres, cotton in Palo Verde valley more than doubled to 10 000 acres, alfalfa rose to 25 OS, and beets to 768. Hay and grain declined from 122 701 to 60 OS. New crops gain ground with sweet potatoes 720, Indian corn 100, sorghums 4964, onions 700 and tomatoes 180. A note excludes small lot plantings.
The city trustee meeting planned for this morning in City Hall failed to start with Mayor Davis and Trustee Pentelaw as the only members present. BL Genereux and Wes Glenn were away, PD K Wilson was absent. a new session is set for 9 o'clock tomorrow morning unless further members are unable to attend.

Mayor Catick and officials weigh the proposal amid calls to either enact the ordinance or establish a municipal liquor house to sell wholesale, keeping trade local. The plan aims to stop liquor purchases in Riverside and Los Angeles by diverting revenue to a city run facility.
On July 27 a law took effect making it a misdemeanor to sell a pass or commutation ticket to anyone not named on the ticket. The notice warns that some vendors may still be unaware of the rule.
Silvano Lopez, a blind pig advocate, was arrested and before Judge Flull sentenced to 100 days in the city jail or a $50 fine. Friends raised money as Lopez and his associates face ongoing efforts in Corona where the illegal liquor trade has rarely succeeded.
