Heroic rescue saves drowning victim at private pool
Scot Sherman, 17, leapt into 10 foot deep water fully clothed to pull Donald W. Born, 20, from the pool at 2461 Rincon street. Police and firemen started artificial respiration as others aided until resuscitation units arrived. Born remained unconscious with a large water intake but improved by the next day.
