Building permits in Corona for July 1952 totaled 104 402 dollars with year to date 867 222. The past month remained slightly below July 1951, while year to date totals lag behind 1951 overall. Seven months of 1951 had permits valued at 1 162 760 and 72 new residences started so far this year including four duplexes in July.
Sergeant First Class Olen A. Gamble received the Commendation Ribbon for meritorious service in Korea with the Third Infantry Division. He served as mess sergeant of Battery A, 10th Field Artillery Battalion from May 10, 1951 to April 1, 1952 and also earned the Bronze Star.
