Music Section 18 Woman's Club Host Delightful Program

The Music Section of the Woman's Club hosted its annual event at the club house with a formal program of piano, vocal and reading numbers. Getting Out The Vote Our Hardest Problem

Six or seven years ago Seattle voters considered buying the privately owned streetcar system and paying for it from current receipts. Out of 85 000 voters less than 30 000 cast ballots and the plan was approved, Seattle has paid a ten cent cash fare since. This spring voters rejected the city-manager plan with 80 000 nonvoters staying home. The era of apathy may haunt taxpayers as the tax bill arrives.
