Claude Morrow of Orange urged youths to develop strong character at a high school event showcasing eight daily periods. Students performed class demonstrations, athletic tumbling, and choral numbers as parents toured periods and attended stage acts led by Coach Thome and Miss Horst.
Riverside County supervisors heard a gravel upgrade estimate of 22 000 for six miles of the Palm Springs Palm Canyon road and took no action, asking the county road superintendent to report to the Chamber of Commerce. They planned a regional meeting on the camels thorn issue and authorized farm agent J A Packard to attend the Riverside Walnut Growers gathering. They also referred a drainage plan to the district attorney for approval and investigated the Florida avenue disruption by Lake Hemet Water Company.
