About 30 bootleggers watched as 1,000 gallons of illicit moonshine were poured into the courthouse sewer under Jailer Paul M. Scott. Nineteen cases of bonded whiskey labeled White Horse and other Canadian brands were emptied from the jail cell, some selling at ten dollars a quart, in Riverside County's first bottled in bond raid.
