City Health Officer Dr. W S Davis reports State Housing Commissioner Mott found back yard untidiness and several rooming houses and hotels not meeting housing laws in Corona. Davis says a clean up week may be arranged this month to address blight and ensure construction meets permit and plan requirements.

Corona Firemen Save Home By Quick Work

Prompt and efficient action by the Corona Fire Department halted a small rear building blaze near Geo. A. Lawrence, corner Fifth and Sheridan Streets. Firemen had a stream on flames within minutes, saving the residence at 322 West Fifth Street from destruction.
