Price Passes Bar in Cordova as Lawyer

Thomas C. Price of Cordova was examined by the bar examining board and sworn in as a practicing attorney at 10 this morning. A Cordova council member and former Democratic Territorial Senate candidate, Price has lived in Alaska nearly twenty years and built ties across Juneau Douglas and Ketchikan. Mrs. Len Cox traveled to town from Mile 65 and is expected to return by the next train.

Zeppelins Hit Armstrong Works at South Shields

Reports from Christ in Norway via the Istum say a flotilla of Zeppelins attacked the Armstrong works at South Shields on June 15. Bombs dropped in the navy yard and arsenal set buildings on fire all night. Seventeen killed and forty injured. Extensive property damage to critical British munitions plants.

Postoffice to Move to New Anchor Townsite

The postoffice will establish permanent quarters at the Anchor age new townsite after moving from the Commission building last week. The building, mounted on skids for river crossing, will gain a larger addition on completion and new public boxes will be installed for patrons. In Cordova news, residents at Anchorage hosted a surprise party for newlyweds Mr. and Mrs. L K McCullough at their new home. Captain George Scott of the launch Prospector bought a 15 horsepower Sterling engine in Buffalo and will install it in Orca today.
