London reports a late night meeting between the two houses aimed at breaking a deadlock over the Irish home rule bill. A compromise is urged to prevent the 1914 measure from becoming effective after Turkish treaty ratification ends the war.
The International Fur Exchanges declare trappers worldwide stopped trapping to check a rapidly declining market for raw pelts which fell by half in the last year. Trappers who paused this year expect double income next year from more pelts at higher prices. The main cause cited is strikes by workers in manufacturing branches.
