Day and night events run through the eight days with water polo after each day. Preliminary rounds use a series system to handle many nations and swimmers. Women compete in 100 meter and 300 meter free races two diving classes and a 400 meter relay with top rivals from Sweden Australia and the United States.
The American steamer Hoxie traveling from Norfolk to Copenhagen wirelessed Danish police for help claiming mutiny on board. A motor boat was dispatched to assist the vessel.

Five ships were ordered by Hamburg America line. penalties include up to one year in jail and fines up to 100000 marks for noncompliance.
