Coldest Kentucky spot as Corbin airport hits six below

Saturday morning Corbin London airport recorded six below zero the coldest in Kentucky with a unofficial low of three above at WCTT radio. By noon the thermometer rose to 12 above and was climbing two degrees an hour before leveling off. Traffic snarls from Friday snow hampered travel on I 75 northbound while Peoples Gas said supply remains ample through the cold wave.

The National Communicable Disease Center reports 3,594 influenza pneumonia deaths since Dec 7 in 122 cities, about double the normal rate.
