The Times-Star reports from Hartford City that Clarence Pippin may be linked to a marriage with Mary McCullom. Clarence denies any marriage or knowledge of her whereabouts. Unverified telegrams and inquiries into Mary McCullom’s whereabouts are explored with no conclusive evidence.
A dog on Water Street attacked a stranger prompting a stone strike. The dog’s owner accused the man of cruelty while the stranger retorted the animal should be muzzled, likening the owner to the pet.
A smooth faced young man presented a $70 check at Wayne Bark Cambridge City signed by Omer Hurst and payable to Harry Boggs. After passing as Boggs the funds were paid. Hurst later cited forgery and bankers suspected the same man forged a $60 check at First National Bank payable to Charles Doddrige.
The Hackleman Caldwell wedding took place Wednesday evening at the bride’s home in Harrison township with Fred Hackleman and Alice Caldwell as the couple. Rev J M Land of Randolph county officiated and Bertha Manlove played the wedding march. About forty guests attended a banquet after the ceremony and presented gifts. The groom is a prosperous local farmer and the bride the daughter of the late Enoch Caldwell. they will reside with Mr and Mrs John W Hackleman for about three weeks.
Richmond police report the arrest of a man described as the suspect in a recent Central avenue crowd shooting. He is also suspected of burglary in Richmond and is jailed under the aliases Fisher and Rogers while claiming the name Jennings.

Rumor surrounds Mrs Miles near Doddridge's chapel as George Hamm of Greensfork travels away leaving a wife and children. Hamm previously left his family and, on a prior escape, Mrs Miles joined him and lived in St Louis until his arrest.
A flat car broke loose from freight train No 91 as it neared Hamilton around midnight Monday night and plunged into the Miami River. The next two cars derailed but the overturned flat car helped resist further movement and all tracks were cleared within an hour. No injuries reported.
