Mayor Philip Braun presided in police court as two men faced arraignment. One stranger pleaded guilty to intoxication and received an eleven day sentence. The other, Graham, gave a vague origin and faced charges of disorder, with his term suspended pending reform efforts. The mayor pledged patrols would curb similar behavior.
Col William Flannagan of Connerville presided as auctioneer at Frank Clevenanger farm near Centersville where pedigreed horses drew strong bids. Dealers and stock raisers attended as horses sold for high sums with none under four hundred dollars and one bringing seven hundred fifty dollars. A Brack Aberdeen mare reportedly sold for about three hundred dollars each.

Native of Germany Andrew Daum died in Tipton Indiana from hardening of the arteries after a life of persistent labor. He immigrated at nineteen, settled in Indiana, and helped run the Daum Sanitarium near Huston town before living a retired life in Tipton. He is survived by son J W Daum and daughters Mrs Sadie Tressider and Mrs Kate Pressler. He was active in the Central Christian Church and respected by many in Connersville.
Five masked men raided the Culver City National Bank in broad daylight injuring the cashier who resisted and was locked in a safe. The robbers escaped with an undetermined sum as a posse formed by the sheriff gave chase.

George Hay of Orange slipped on ice near his barn yesterday and fractured a hip. Physicians treated him at once and report that while serious injuries can follow such fractures, this case is not expected to permanently disable him.
Indianapolis dispatch reports Attorney E Ralph Himelick of Connersville filed with the Secretary of State to have his name on the Republican primary ballot for District Attorney. A prominent local barrister active in party work, his opposition within the GOP is not yet known.
