He may soon go to Columbus Ohio for a physical exam while two regular appointees from the district await examinations. John Edwards son of Mr and Mrs Frank M Edwards was named as an alternate to the Naval Academy at Annapolis.
A man accused of vagrancy was twice escorted from the city limits by officers in Connersville. First found on the streets and told to depart, he returned hours later and was jailed until morning. He pleaded guilty before Mayor Braun, who stressed the jail is not a boarding house for undesirables.
