A seven o clock near drowning incident in Edgewood involved Norbert O Brecht son of Joe O Brecht superintendent of Ansted Spring Co. He fell into a seven foot pond formed by Axle Works waste water and was saved by Jesse Collins. He swallowed water but was revived at his home.
Notice from L. L. Duxare, Water Works Committee chair, warns rigid enforcement of the ordinance banning excessive street sprinkling and states water may be turned off at any time for violators. Also lists social notes on locals and a lengthy report from the State Music Teachers' convention proceedings.
James Allen, about 37, died this morning from arsenic self poisoning on the Griffis farm four miles southwest of the city. He left a wife and three children and may have mistaken arsenic for Epsom salt. antidotes failed. Funeral is set for tomorrow at Columbia Church with K P assistance.
Reverend Fisher of the A. M. B church will baptize a number of probationers in the hydraulic near the Ninth Street bridge Sunday at 7 80 p.m. The public invited to be present and witness the sacred rite.
