The Cuban constitutional convention ratified the Platt amendment by 16 votes to 11 with a discussionless vote. Delegates named include Capote Villuendas Gomez and Quesada, while Ferrer shifted to support acceptance. The convention will appoint a commission to draft the electoral law.
Washington reports the Cuban constitutional convention adopted the Phitt amendment.
