Thomas Stevenson Bennett 91, a Baptist minister known across Indiana in youth, died at his daughter’s Beech Knoll home in Connersville Sunday. He was the son of Revolutionary War Colonel Anthony Bennett. Funeral held at the Wrights home then moved to Espyville, Pennsylvania for burial.

Tragic Train Fatality Claimed Frank Rariden
Frank Rariden a 24 year old freight brakeman for the Big Four was killed Friday afternoon while flagging a southbound passenger train near Connersville. Exhausted from overwork and lack of sleep, he is believed to have fallen asleep on the track. His body was taken to Laurel for burial after a brief stay with his parents in Connersville. He leaves a wife and a small daughter.

A Soldier Found Unconscious From Chloroform Escape
Charley Holmes a recently returned Philippine veteran was found in an alley behind Walker's saloon in an unconscious state after reportedly taking chloroform and ether during a personal crisis.
