Mrs Henry and her son Huston narrowly escaped injury when their horse bolted after the bit broke on Waterloo bridge. Huston recovered control near the village and secured the rein while the buggy wheels were damaged. Mrs Henry was frightened but unharmed.

Pastor Stev. A. R. Beach of the M E church in Liberty had an appendicitis operation last Friday. Surgeons performed skillfully but grave fears were held for his life. By Monday news said the danger seemed past and recovery looked likely.
Ellaworth Hamilton, 33, was found dead with a 38 caliber revolver in his hand near the Hosea blacksmith shop on Fourth Street. James Meisner, a painter, was arrested on suspicions of foul play. Hamilton and Meisner had been living with Mrs. Hamilton, and she was fined for unlawful cohabitation. The coroner ruled the death self-inflicted amid domestic turmoil.
The Connersville Relief Corps spent a day at Mrs. George Burris’s home three miles west of town. A queenly meal was served by local ladies. Uncle George praised the patriots and the annual Burris gathering, highlighting Mrs. Burris aged 74 and Uncle George 80 as cheerful hosts in a country setting.

If unclaimed in two weeks letters go to Dead Letter Office. Glidewell editor Greensburg New Era visited the Courier office Monday praising the paper business.

Mra Wm McCarty of Nulltown was wounded on scalp neck and arm by a youth named Furry who had been raised there. He confessed to the strike to neighbor Chas Thomas and was later captured by Officer Holmes. The assailant was bound over to the Circuit Court after Mayor's Court. jailed for lack of bond.
