Crossing the Ferry to Heaven in a Davidic Scene
In a sermon on 2 Samuel 19:18 the preacher likens death to a ferry crossing the Jordan, with King David and Barzillai aboard toward a welcoming shore. He urges comfort that the King is on board, assures guidance for the journey, and emphasizes the crossing as a brief, safe ferry rather than a perilous voyage.

The King's Ferryboat to a Solid Heaven
A sermon urges that heaven is a solid reality not a fog bank and compares crossing the Jordan with a ferry. The preacher envisions a future landing among welcoming loved ones and saints, inviting listeners to join the king’s household and wear Christ’s righteousness at the heavenly table.
