State appropriation goes for premiums

The Gilliam county fair board recommended and the county court approved turning a state appropriation of 630 over to the Tri-county fair treasurer to be used in payment of premiums.

Most Extensive Alfalfa Campaign in Northwest Led by Prof Holden

Return of Edward Magee to Portland After Hospital Visit

Edward Magee returned to his Portland home Thursday after visiting his son John Magee. Frank Smith and Chas Baker also headed to Portland Thursday. Kent Zachary of Fossil traveled to Portland and plans to bring back his daughter who had been in a hospital.

Mayville Notes Aged Mother Visits Thomas Home

The aged mother of Mrs. J. F. Thomas arrived from Hood River to visit at the Thomas home. A dance at the Grange hall is planned for Saturday with a big supper at 11 30. Residents anticipate a Tri County fair and Mrs. Francis of Albany is a guest at the Thomas home. Other news crowded out.
