Farmers Meet To Plan Elevator Expansion In Mayville
A Farmers Elevator Company meeting is set for Friday afternoon in Mayville to levy an assessment on issued stock to fund enlarging the elevator to 150000 bushels. No more stock will be issued. The farmers back the project, noting current capacity is too small. Mr and Mrs Clarence Jones return from a trip to Walla Walla and Portland where they bought a Taylor tractor and separator and a six bottom plow for use on their Mayville farms.

Condon businessmen plan to entertain visiting woolgrowers next Monday for the sheep and wool demonstration. An entertainment committee of O B Roberto George Dukek and A B Robertson was formed and a lunch at one o’clock at the Hotel was arranged. The Commercial Club also set September 27 28 and 29 as ey Bounty’s fair dates and recommended Jas Stewart Fossil as highway commissioner, sending the proposal to Governor Withycombe.
