Deer Season Opens With Hunters Preparing In Condon
The deer season in this section starts Sunday September 1. Local sportsmen have cleaned their guns for a week and are choosing hunting areas in the mountains. Many Condon residents plan to head to the hills Sunday morning hoping for a fine head. The limit is two male deer and few will break that rule.
Public School to Open Next Monday at Condon
The Condon Public School will open next Monday September 2 with a full staff of teachers, most returning from last year. Condon High School Reopens September 16
Condon High School will open for the year's work on September 16 with Prof. H. K. Shirk at the head. Funeral Services for B K Searcy Held at East Condon Home
Funeral services for B K Searcy were held at the east Condon home at 10 o clock Sunday morning. Rev Simmons of Wheeler County delivered a comforting talk and a quartet group led the singing. A large crowd attended the burial at Mayville cemetery where over a hundred gathered to pay respects to a departed friend.

Mayville Farmer Arrested in Portland on Fraud Charge
Herbert Walton, a Mayville area farmer, was arrested in Portland last week by Sheriff Lillie on securing money by false pretenses. He pleaded guilty before Justice Hollen and was bound over to the grand jury with bail set at 1000. Mrs Lulu Searcy returned from Portland Saturday.
