John J. Smith sought in Willows California on a felony charge was arrested by Sheriff Lillie and jailed awaiting the Glenn County sheriff’s arrival. Smith admitted the charge and used the alias Frank J. Welch while working at Spencer ranch and Pittwater ranch in Ferry Canyon. Injured Worker Ben Smith Hurt at Spencer Ranch

H. H. Wilburn finished a well last week for Dell Rice on his ranch three miles north of Cond on. Water flowed freely from a depth of 145 feet. Mr. Wilburn moved his machine to the Miller ranch on Matey Flat. Lot Shreve left Tuesday morning for a month in western Oregon visiting coast resorts after driving to Portland via the Barlow road.
