A tasty luncheon, dancing, and a whist game followed. prizes for ladies went to Mrs Margaret Kelley first, Mrs Lydia Moreau second, and Miss Marguerite Moreau consolation. Men's prizes went to John Flannery first Patrick O'Brien second and Harold Hansen consolation.

Maynard Sept 25 A New Guinea Butter Vine at Parmenter farm on Concord street has grown a forty foot vine bearing beans weighing up to ten pounds. Jack Whitney and Bill Strout sought proof after hearing of the claim. Locals visit the farm to view the oversized beans and speculate on cooking uses.
