Ancestors Day Observed at Sudbury First Parish
Sudbury First Parish Unitarian observed Ancestors Sunday with an informal reunion at 11 in the church hall. Box lunches were provided and coffee served by the Ladies Alliance. A 7 o clock service featured ministers from Watertown Wayland and Framingham. The sermon, Old Paths are Best Paths, reflected on ancestry and living closer to Christian standards. An organ recital and various relics from early settlers were shown, with attendees including descendants of Rev. Linus Ht. Shaw and other local families.

West Concord Man Dies After Heart Attack in Boston
West Concord resident John J Sullivan 60 died en route to City Hospital after taking his son for an exam and stopping at a restaurant in Boston. Hold Up and Robbery Reported Near Sudbury
Maynard resident and Hod Carriers Union treasurer Maynard Ernest Mariano was forced off the road near Great Road and Stanley Rice place in North Sudbury around 11 PM Thursday. He was robbed, driven to a sand bank, and the attackers set upholstery on fire before Mariano alerted the state police. A $430 belt stash was found on him. he was detained for exam. A warrant later charged him with attempted larceny. Authorities from Sudbury, Framingham, and Maynard investigated the incident with help from state patrol and local officers.

Concord funeral services held Saturday at Emmanuel church for Henry B Bigelow Jr of Concord son of Prof Henry B Bigelow Harvard University. He died in an accident while climbing Mount Washington last Wednesday. Rev Dr Samuel Drury led the service with St Pauls school alumni and Harvard faculty in attendance. Cremation followed.
