Death of Lizzie Matinsz in Maynara

Lizzie Matinsz of Block 4 Main Street was found dead in bed by her husband Stephen around 6 30 PM Tuesday. She was born in Russia 59 years ago and had lived in the United States 32 years. Death was due to cerebral hemorrhage per medical examiner Norman F. Hunter of Hudson. Funeral services will be held Friday morning from the home with interment at Glenwood Cemetery.

Armistice Day observance by American Legion planned

The American Legion will mark Armistice Day with a 10:30 a.m. assemble at Legion headquarters and a march to Memorial Park for exercises. Legion Minute Men Fire Drum and Bugle Corps will line the events. John Walsa, senior state vice commander, will give the Armistice address. A series of wrestling bouts is sponsored by the local Legion, the first match set for next Saturday night at Cooperative Hall.

Reception for Mrs Walter Crotty after surprise marriage

About a hundred relatives and friends attended a St. Casimir Parish Hall reception for Mrs Walter Crotty formerly Sopme Wasuik. The event started as a bridal shower but ended as a celebration of her June marriage with dancing games gifts and performances by attendees.

William H Dee of Bedford Street was reelected president of Division 56 AOH for a second term at a meeting in Monument Hall. The installation is planned for November with C Donovan of Somerville as county president. Maynard Cooperative Club Institute Plans Open Sessions

The Maynard Massachusetts Cooperative Clubs held a Sunday gathering at the United Co operative building with nearly 100 delegates from Fitchburg Winchendon Hubbardston Spencer Worcester and others. Maynard delegates Charles Kekkala Leo Aho Impi Sneck and Bertha attended. The institute will start November 6 with five weekly Tuesday sessions then five more after Christmas, continuing in January. Instructors include noted speakers from out of town and local figures Rev Mathew A Vance Charley Manty and Selectman Donald Lent. Cooperation Labor and Current events will be topics. The Maynard club also hosted a well attended costume Halloween party last night.

Stephen Rogers dies in Newfoundland funeral held

Stephen Rogers died Saturday at St. John's Newfoundland. He leaves five daughters Mrs Charles Spurrell Miss Maude Rogers Maynard, Mrs John Spurrell Mrs J Laidley Somerville, Mrs Claire Wheeler and son John Rogers St Johns N F. A requiem mass was celebrated at St Bridget's church esday morning by Rev James Sherry.

Reid Tervo West Acton wedding ties ceremony

Aino J. Tervo and Robert A. Reid of West Acton were married Tuesday October in a quiet ceremony. Best man Harry Merley of Watertown and bridesmaid Meim Tervo of Maynard attended. Mrs William Wood Dies In Stow At 77

Mrs William Wood died at her Stow home Monday night aged 77. A Chelsea native she lived in Stow over fifty years. Survived by son Edward Wood of Somerville and four daughters Mrs Florence Wood Mrs Marion Wood Mrs George ed of Maynard and Mrs Hhn Addy of Stow. Funeral Thursday at 2 pm at the home. Burial in Brookside cemetery family lot.
