Requiem High Mass Held At St Bernard’s
Concord man Henry McBreen of 13 Potter Street died suddenly last Thursday after a year of ill health. Born in Ireland November 8, 1888, he lived in Concord 35 years and was foreman of the town tree department. Funeral at St Bernard’s with a requiem high mass. interment at St Bernard’s Cemetery. Survived by his wife and eight children, with brothers Patrick and Thomas also in Concord. Bearers included Ralph Peterson, John McBreen, Thomas Murphy, Norman Sherer, John Mullen, and Owen McPhillips.

On Friday night the Concord lodge of Elks held a patriotic preparedness meeting at the Girl Scout House. Exalted Ruler Francis J. Dee and Walter T. Avery led details. The Legion Band played patriotic numbers and Harold Field of Brookline gave the principal address. The event ended with the pledge of allegiance.
