Community Grange Fair Draws Large Concord Junction Audience
The first Anmur Grange community fair at Concord Junction’s association hall drew a large crowd with exhibits of fruit vegetables preserves bread cake and pastry. Prizes included ribbons and merchant donations. Highlights featured a W Blodgett radio exhibit and a charity luncheon under Mary Taylor and Katharine Tanner. Charles Lamar entertained on piano as auctioned donated exhibits closed the evening.

Concord DAR Opens Season With Pageant at First Parish
Old Concord Chapter D A R held its opening meeting at the vestry of the First Parish church in Concord on Saturday afternoon. Mrs. A L Morse presided as regent. A pageant Sacrificial Gardens by a Springfield International College girl was presented by chapter members. Mrs. O S Fowler played Adigal Adams. The DAR presented Springfield College with a 60 000 dormitory. Maynard hosts at the meeting included several local members. Mrs. Fowler left for Holyoke for the DAR annual conference.
