Golden Wedding Day Celebrated for Concord Couple
Monday marked the 50th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Charles M. Baggesen, observed with an informal Sunday reception at their Union Street home. The couple, both in good health, hosted neighbors and relatives from two to nine o'clock with flowers and messages arriving all day. They have two children, Anna who died in infancy and Andrew C. Baggesen of the town, plus Mrs Baggesen’s brothers John Anderson and Christian Anderson of Somerville, with Rev Jens Anderson of Indianapolis unable to attend. For over four decades Mr. Baggesen worked at the old Concord ordinary and, on retirement, at Whitney Coal and Grain Co. Both are members of Hawthorne Chapter O B S and Mrs Baggesen belongs to the Episcopal church.
