Funeral Held For George N. Jones At Maple Street

The funeral for George N. Jones was conducted at his father in law’s Maple Street home at 2 PM Monday. Maynard Lodge I O O F and Assabet Valley Council R A attended. Pallbearers included W B Case George Henderson Thomas Denniston Jr M H Garfield P J Sullivan Alex Veitch. Floral tokens came from Royal Arcanum Odd Fellows and the T and P department. Burial followed at Glenwood Cemetery.

Red Men Social Draws Large Attendance

The Red Men held a social last Monday night with about 100 attendees including guests. C H Persons presided. Geo N Salisbury performed a robo solo and a quartet including Mallison Jamison Faquer and Lawton provided music. Speeches were given by W C Van Etten H A Harwood P J Sullivan and others. The event ran from 8 to 1 with a grand time reported. Officers to be nominated at the next meeting and two palefaces will be initiated.
