Mr and Mrs Henry Capelle moved into their new home on Martin Street Thursday. Mrs Alfred C Downie went to Nashua New Hampshire Saturday to attend the funeral of her cousin F Hodges. Mr Santos played two exception.
The village records holiday plans with church events and dances in Peabody area Dec 5 and Dec 11. Mr and Mrs H B Livermore travel to New York for Thanksgiving with son Jesse and family as Young People's Union plans a dance. Howard H Jones arrives from Dayton to live with daughter Mrs Henry E B Tolman for the winter. Dr Walter Currier assumes acting postmaster duties at the South Acton post office.
Pastor Ralph A. Baker conducts a 10:30 morning service with 11:45 Sunday school. An 7:00 evening stereopticon lecture on Armenia will be in the Vestry. A Wednesday 7:30 Thanksgiving union service at the Universalist church followed by Friday 7:30 prayer and social service.
A pleasant and successful Sunday school social was held in the vestry of the Congregational church Thursday night. About 60 children and people attended. A fine musical program featured piano duets by Mrs. B. Annis and Winifred, songs by Ethel Case and Mab Crosby, readings by Alice Rhodes, and other numbers. Refreshments of cake and refreshments followed, with a social hour lasting about an hour.
