The funeral services for Samuel R. Burroughs were held Thursday afternoon at the Baptist Church with Rev. Geo. L. Michelson of Salem officiating. Duet songs by Mrs. Myrtle Smith and Mrs. Payson with Miss Evelyn Knowlton as accompanist. The G A R service was given by members of Isaac Davis Post. He leaves one son and one sister. burial was at the family lot in Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Explosion at American Powder Company mills injures worker
A blast at two wheel mills near the American Powder Company sent debris across the area on Saturday.
