Concord mourns portrait and landscape painter Wilbur Fiske Noyes age 54 of Coolidge road who died suddenly at home after months of illness. Born in Chicago June 12 1897 he moved to Concord seven and a half years ago after living in Weston. He studied at Newton High School the Massachusetts School of Art and taught at the Vesper George School of Art in Boston. His studio was at 30 Ipswich street Boston and he painted many portraits including 15 college presidents and scenes from Concord.

Torchlight Parade Set for November 21 in Concord
The annual torch dips parade will be held next Wednesday November 21 before the holiday football game. It starts at the high school at 7 00 with cheerleaders majorettes and the band leading the procession through the town center around the flagpole. Concord school officials and a citizens committee seek an extra 2000 beyond the 3500 guaranteed to fund a party of 38 players 6 coaches and school officials for the eighth Piedmont Bowl trip.
