Auto train collision at Arlington Street fatal for captain
Captain Charles A. Wolfe of the Boston fire department and his sister Mrs. Margaret Willis died of injuries after an automobile driven by a captain was struck by the Berkshire flyer at Arlington Street. Wolfe’s wife, Elizabeth Wolfe, was seriously ill. The crash occurred at 2 15 pm as the express tore through town and wreckage was removed to Emerson hospital.

Litchfield Couple Marks Golden Anniversary at Home
Mr and Mrs William I Litchfield of Great Road observed their 50th wedding anniversary at their home. Neighbors and friends called to extend congratulations and gifts. Miss Sarah Bent attended as a guest from the couple’s wedding. The couple lived in the same house since their marriage, a historic 1785 structure built by George Smith, grandfather of Mrs Litchfield. Mr Litchfield, born in Saxonville, worked in the Maynard coal business before retiring ten years ago and serves as corporator of the Asabet Institution for Savings and a director of the Maynard Trust Company. Mrs Litchfield is active in local civic life and chairs the Maynard Woman’s Club Town Committee GR others. The home was crowded with guests in the afternoon and evening as celebrants signed the guest book.

Reception to New Members at Trinite Tarian Church
New members received into the Trinie tarian egational church for 1929 30 were welcomed at a Wednesday evening chapel reception. About 50 people stood in line to greet Rev George L Thurlow Mrs Thurlow and other members as ushers presented them. Stolen Buick cars recovered in Webster Stow and Roslindale
Two Buick sedans stolen in Webster and Roslindale were recovered Monday and Tuesday. A 15 year old Maynard boy was found with the Roslindale car in Roslindale and turned over to Webster police. The Webster car with Connecticut plates was found deserted in Stow and the Maynard police recovered the Roslindale vehicle on Nason Street.

Armistice Day Observances Across Maynard and Acton
Armistice Day services were held in Maynard under the Prank J DeMars Post American Legion with Rev. Ernest Lyman Mills delivering the oration at the park. The annual Legion dance followed at Cooperative hall with Frank Sheridan’s orchestra, attended by Legionnaires from nearby towns.
