Concord clubs and events fill town schedule
Numerous local clubs held meetings and events this week. The Holy Name club hosted a dance. the Woman’s club history class met at Mrs. Leslie Moore’s Elm Street home. the Ladies Circle of the Methodist church hosted a sale and supper at Walden Street church this week and tomorrow. Rev. Meredith and Rev. Macdonald exchanged pulpits at the First Parish Meeting House. The Browning class met at Mrs. Ripley Bartlett’s, with next meeting November 24. Hawthorne chapter drama Teddy drew praise. Maynard wrestling bouts attract town sports. Mrs. Marion C Downes will speak on Little Stories of North Africa to the Woman’s club. Concord Musical Club meets November 11 with a Music in America talk. D.A.R. fair planned for next Wednesday at the Chapter House. John Kendrick Bangs to appear November 19 as Lyceum speaker discussing Salubrities I Have Met. Several medium priced tenements for rent offered by L. N. Fowler.
