Acton Club held a two o clock gathering at the home of Mrs Laurence Winslow with hostesses including Mrs Richard Callahan and others. Alden C Flagg introduced guest speaker Ward B Wilcox and an exhibition of needlepoint antique jewelry and fans was shown by art chairman Mrs Joseph Dee.

The Concord Lions Club marked its eighth anniversary at the Ard Johnson’s after supper. President Maxwell E. Lawrence led the event with Neil, the club’s new district governor from Peabody, Robert W. Brooks speaking on on the job training. A birthday cake was cut by Lawrence and shared with members and guests.
