G N Gove Maynard proclaims bread from superior flour and pure agents as the staff of life. Fresh daily rolls buns cakes pies and pastry are toothsome and wholesome. Special cakes for weddings birthdays and parties available on short notice with best goods and best service.
Rep P J Sullivan topped regular nominee John F Wood by 181 votes in Maynard ward of the 22nd Middlesex district marking a decisive reelection after bolting the convention. He pledges ongoing clean politics and duty to district voters amid local party tensions.
The district votes show P J Sullivan elected representative 606 to 167 with celebrations that night. The district results include Curtis Guild Jr governor 352, Charles Bartlett 361. Eben Draper 340, Henry Whitney 314. Chester W Clark 376, Patrick J O’Brien 279.
A local store announces its fall line with many handsome new articles now in stock. The assortment is far from complete but customers can call to secure first selection from the arrivals.

Wayside Inn chapter D A R met at the Unitarian vestry with Mrs Nellie Rice Fiske presiding. An organ recital by Mrs Lauretta Bent Felch preceded a Wayland Cochituate Natick visit. Greenfield gathering October 5 to 6 featured Revolutionary ancestor sketches by Nellie Rice Fiske and others plus a sketch of the Old Meeting House and refreshments.
Charles Evans leaves employment with John M Keyes. Frank Byron visits friends in Jamaica Plain Sunday. Vanderveer's Hammer next issue due next week. J Bartholmew visits friends in Ayer Junction Sunday and Monday. Robert Connorton moves to Sudbury road home early this week. Concord High School beat Middlesex 11 to 0 Thursday. John Burke moves into Barrett place cottage formerly Connorton. Dunno the Magician to perform at the Lyceum this evening. Lyceum program Wednesday featured readings by Mrs Waldo Richards. Nearby coon hunt reported. Miss Helen Hosey Edward Laughlin James Cantwell and Thomas Varley in Isle of Breeze comic opera by Knights of Columbus at Majestic Boston week of Feb 5.
Miss Caswell described the Frances Willard settlement in Boston's South Russell Street with about 600 children and youths in clubs classes and playgrounds. A 120 by 120 foot open lot and sixteen young women supported at $3 weekly form part of ongoing private funded efforts.
About 5 45 Saturday morning the Concord fire department answered an alarm at the Belknap street cottage owned by T Quincy Browne and occupied by Mrs Anderson. The fire started in a closet near the stove and spread before discovery. damage to furniture and the house were about 280 dollars each.
