Acton Women Plan Civics Class As League Disbands
The Acton League of Women Voters held its first meeting of the season on Oct 26 at Miss Charlotte Allen’s home. Few members attended. disarmament discussion followed and the group voted to discontinue the league due to lack of a chairman and waning interest. Remaining funds will finance new books for study and a Memorial library. A civics study class will meet third Tuesdays. Dr. Ernest A. Mayell performed school physicals. Concord as a Health Resort Exhibition by Mr Roberts
New York artist Mr Edwards Roberts stayed at the Colonial Inn in Concord for health. He photographed Concord scenes and three volumes of images are on display at the public library by May Bartlett, with the piece Main St. and its shops praised. Roberts has recovered his health and may return to New York.
